Chapter 486: Wake The Fuck Up
Chapter 486: Wake The Fuck Up
Despite seeing how First Blade killed every single member of the Grey Pact like they were livestock, Simon was calm.
Despite seeing the holes and claw marks on the bodies of Vexa, Silith, Noctis, Gorr, and Morrow... he was calm.
Despite hearing the threatening words of First Blade, he was calm.
Simon calmly observed every single thing.
From the corpses of the Grey Pact to First Blade, then to the clawed gauntlet the First Blade was using.
He had so many questions, but there was just one question that was bothering him.
’Why would Caesar tell him to kill the Grey Pact with a clawed gauntlet?’
Simon tried to think of a reason, just one possible reason as to why Caesar would tell First Blade to use a clawed gauntlet, but he could not think of a single one.
Nothing made sense, and for some reason, his gut feeling was telling him that this oddity was very crucial to him.
He had a gut feeling that if he could not figure out the reason why Caesar told First Blade to use a clawed gauntlet, it would come back to bite him.
And it would come back to bite him very soon.
’Nothing. I can’t think of anything... Strange.’
Simon’s expression became even more solemn, then he exhaled deeply.
He glanced at Lucien who was on the floor beside him, then he looked back at First Blade.
"I seriously doubt that Caesar can handle the deaths of five Initiates. How are you certain that he won’t stab you in the back?"
First Blade chuckled in response to Simon’s words, then he shook his head and placed a silver bead on top of the corpses.
The moment he did this, the corpses were sucked into the bead, and it suddenly vanished.
Simon’s eyes flickered with a thoughtful glint.
’An artifact. A spatial artifact.’
’It moved through space at an extremely fast speed, and it went in that direction.’
Simon looked to his left with slightly narrowed eyes.
First Blade saw this, and he looked at Simon with a suspicious expression.
"Hmm. You sensed that? Do you have perhaps have a spatial affinity? Or are your senses that sharp?"
Simon did not answer. Instead, he changed the topic.
"What do you want from me?"
First Blade raised a brow.
"Don’t you know? I’ve been telling you for a long time though... I want you to be my disciple."
Simon scoffed.
"I already have a master."
’Yeah. Saying that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Can’t imagine calling a greenhorn my master.’
’Thank goodness Ormon is not here to hear me call him master so easily. He would never let me rest.’
First Blade’s lips twitched, and a tinge of anger and disgust could be seen in his eyes and expression.
"You want to call that sex loving pervert your master? He cannot teach you anything good. He doesn’t even have time to teach you properly because he’s always with a demoness."
’That I cannot deny. If not for Sonya, I would not have learned as much as I learned.’
Although Simon agreed with the old demon’s words, he would definitely not say them out loud.
"You really don’t know how to take a rejection, do you? How many times have I rejected you in the past two months?"
First Blade’s lips twitched, and he chuckled softly to restrain the anger that was in his heart.
Unpleasant memories of instances where he tried to make Simon his ’disciple’ by negotiation, temptation, or by force.
Every single attempt of his ended up in failure, and Ormon always mocked him in the most embarrassing ways.
"Broken Halo, I know that you’re just a kid..."
’No. I’m not. Even if you’re older than me, I have far more experience than you, old man.’ Simon thought.
"... so you might not understand the gravity of your situation. You’re an extremely talented kid, and your talent with swords is most likely even on par with mine..."
Simon could not help but raise an amused brow.
"... Or maybe, just maybe, it’s even higher than mine."
Simon’s lips curled into a light smile, but he said nothing.
"Learning the fist path is not helpful to you in anyway. You’re embarking on a path that does not suit you. Listen to me who has far more experience than you can ever imagine, and you won’t regret it."
Simon’s lips twitched for a slight moment, then he released a soft sigh.
"Do you really think I’ll feel safe being your disciple when you did that?"
Simon pointed at the frozen blood on the ground, and the old demon looked at it with raised brows.
"I didn’t take you to be a coward. Why would something like that bother you?"
Simon shook his head.
"Forget about it. I don’t have the energy to explain myself."
"I’m not going to become your disciple because I don’t trust you."
First Blade raised a brow and had a baffled expression.
"You don’t trust me? Why? I’ve never hurt you or anybody close to you in any way. Why would you be suspicious of me?"
Simon tilted his head and looked at First Blade strangely.
"Well... Maybe it’s because you’re obsessed with me? I don’t trust people who are obsessed with me."
First Blade said nothing, then he looked down.
"Hmm. Is that so?"
Simon smiled, then he kicked Lucien’s body.
First Blade narrowed his eyes when he saw this, but before he could speak, Simon spoke.
"By the way, since you’re so obsessed with me, mind telling me what Caesar wants to do with this kid? And what the whole point of the mission was?"
First Blade narrowed his eyes.
"Will you become my disciple?"
Simon shook his head.
"If I say yes, will you believe me?"
First Blade scoffed.
"No."
Simon shrugged, then he looked at Lucien with a frown.
"Tsk. Why the fuck are you still pretending to be asleep?"
No response.
Kick!
"Wake the fuck up you damned kid! Do you think he hasn’t noticed you yet?"
